Stop 1: Breakfast in Denver
First, start with a breakfast of champions in Denver. Snooze is a classic place to start your day with a great bite, and they have multiple locations around the city. Rupert’s at the Edge near Sloan’s Lake gets rave reviews as well. Or if you’d just like to grab a quick breakfast burrito on the way up to the mountains, swing by Bonfire Burritos in Golden.
Stop 2: Outdoor Adventures in Idaho Springs at Colorado Adventure Center
After you’ve filled your belly, head up to Idaho Springs for some thrill-packed water and aerial adventures. Only 30-minutes west of the Denver metro area, Colorado Adventure Center has exciting adventures for all thrill levels, and the best part is the bachelor or bachelorette gets to go for free with a group of five or more!

Group White Water Rafting
If you’re into rafting, check out the beginner, intermediate, or advanced trips on Clear Creek. If you’ve never gone rafting before, we recommend the beginner or intermediate trip. If you have, then the intermediate or advanced trip may be up your alley. Typically, 6-7 people fit into one boat, so you may need to split amongst two boats. Make it a fun competition where the slower boat buys the winners their first round of drinks afterwards! Rafting trips on Clear Creek start in May and typically go through early August. High water is in mid June.
Zip Line or Sky Trek Tours
If you are more about the aerial side of things, then we recommend a zip line tour or Sky Trek, an aerial challenge course (or both!). The zip line tour can be either 5 lines or 8 lines and includes one that is the longest zip line in Colorado, at a quarter of a mile long! You fly through the trees and over the river – it’s a pretty incredible experience! Typically up to about 12 people can go on a tour at the same time, so this is a great option for bachelor or bachelorette parties.
The Sky Trek aerial challenge course includes three different levels of challenge loops, from lowest (easiest) to highest (hardest). There are multiple loops on each level and all include a short zip back to the main structure. This is a great activity in general but especially if you have varying levels of appetites for risk in your group. Both the zip line and Sky Trek are open from March through October, making these two great options for most of the year.
Combine All Three
If your bachelor or bachelorette party has a strong sense of adventure, one of the best ways to spend the day is to combine any or all of the above adventures! Go zip lining in the morning and rafting in the afternoon, combine both aerial adventures, or even do all three – Colorado Adventure Center offers all combinations that you may want to satisfy your group’s desires for a fun and adventure-filled day.
Stop 3: Indian Hot Springs
After whatever adventures you choose, we recommend relaxing and lounging in Indian Hot Springs a few miles down the road. They offer natural hot springs in a large pool, geothermal caves, and even a mud soak if you’re feeling it. It’s hard to find a better way to wind down after a day filled with outdoor adventures.
Stop 4: Dinner at a Restaurant in Idaho Springs
Lastly, for dinner, you have plenty of options in the Idaho Springs area. A few of our favorites are the classic Tommyknocker Brew Pub; tell them you adventured with Colorado Adventure Center and get 10% off! Beau Jo’s for mountain-style pizza is always delicious, and we recommend you dip that dough in honey. Westbound & Down is a new local favorite offering plenty of food and beer options.
