Highside Adventure Tours, located in Breckenridge, Colorado, offers a variety of biking activities for Colorado visitors and residents alike. Our most popular option is our Vail Pass Shuttle trip. We provide the rental bikes, the helmets and the shuttle drop-off . . . all you have to do is ENJOY the bike ride! Vail Pass Shuttle Downhill Bike Ride
This ride drops you off at the top of Vail Pass (elevation 10,666 feet) and you cruise 14 miles on your bike. The best part about this Colorado biking adventure? It’s all downhill, through Officer’s Gulch along Tenmile Creek (a high alpine snowmelt creek) and you’ll get to enjoy the beautiful views, glimpses of wildlife and abundant wildflowers along the Summit County Bike Path. This scenic downhill bike ride also takes you through Copper Mountain Resort and and into downtown Frisco, Colorado. It’s the same bike path that reaches to Breckenridge, Dillon and Keystone.
Take your time on this bike trip; stop for lunch at Copper and a paddle boat ride or pack a picnic for lunch by the creek. Marvel at the beauty of the golden aspen in fall, and the abundant wildflowers in spring. Along the bike path, keep your eyes peeled for elk, moose, mule deer, redtail hawk, eagles and marmots in the White River national forest.
Once you reach Main Street Frisco, take the challenge of an uphill bike ride back to the Breckenridge Basecamp, or hop on the return shuttle — it’s included in the price of the Vail Pass shuttle downhill bike ride!

If you want to plan your own biking activities, Colorado provides plenty of options and Highside will be happy to provide the bike, helmet and other accessories. Our bike rentals range from the world’s most comfortable riding bikes to singletrack mountain bikes with front suspension.
Our comfort bikes offer 21 speeds and feature bigger seats (great for those of us with slightly wider backsides), front suspension and raised handlebars that allow for riding in an upright position. These bikes are not only more comfortable, they are much easier on the back, neck and shoulders. We have a wide selection of sizes, plus kids’ bikes, trailers and tag-a-longs . . . a bike for every need. See our bike rentals page for information and pricing.
When renting a bike in Colorado, it’s always a good idea to come prepared. Whether you’re bike riding in Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone or down Vail Pass, make sure you know what to wear and what to bring biking in Colorado.
